Viral Marketing Breaks Record!

On November 6th, Presidential hopeful, Dr. Ron Paul set a record for online fundraising by raising $4.2 Million in one day.

The amazing part about this is that it was done, for the most part, with viral marketing and by Ron Paul supporters.

See, Ron Paul doesn’t get a lot of media attention and when he does, it normally has a negative spin on it.

So about 2 month ago, some of his supporters got together to plan a massive attack to force the media to listen by raising $10 Million in one day and while they didn’t hit their target goal, they did break the record for online fundraising in one day.

The supporters of Ron Paul used viral marketing and made videos talking about a “Revolution“.

Take a look at the following videos to see examples.

The key to Ron Pauls succesful campaign, is the same as any.

You need to have a product or message that people want and can get excited about.

In Ron Pauls case, it’s his message of smaller government, getting out of Irag, and following the Constitution.

It’s a message that’s hard to argue with.

You also need to be able to get people excited so they will do a lot of the work for you.

And Ron Paul has easily done that and will continue to do it.
