Benefiting from Giveaway Events

One of the most over looked ways of building your business is giveaway events.

Basically, a giveaway event runs for a specific amount of time, usually set around a theme, and people (contributors) donate products that members can download for free.

Contributors benefit in multiple ways:

  1. When people want to download their product(s) they must enter an email address. Thus, building their lists.
  2. They can run an OTO to create an upsell either before the download or on the download page itself.
  3. They also profit when members they refer purchase an OTO upon joining the giveaway site.

And the members benefit by getting some great gifts and earning money by refering people to the event.

Of course, as with everything, there is an art to being successful with giveaway events and here are a few tips to help if you participate as a contributor.

  1. On the download page, giveaway another gift that the visitor must opt-in for. The reason for this is because some giveaway events have an OTO that allow people to bypass squeeze pages.
  2. Include a great product that actually offers something of real value to the target market.
  3. On the download page, promote a product related to the gift.
