Viral URL: More Than A Link Cloaker - A Review

Today I’d like to tell you about a system called Viral URL.

I’m sure you are thinking that it’s some type of URL service. And you would be correct but it’s also much more.

So let’s break down exactly what it is and my experience.

First, it’s a link cloaker with the ability to show ads on other peoples redirects based on impressions of ads shown on yours.

OR you can chose to not show ads at all.

I played with this for a while and received a few clicks on my ads and some sign-ups but decided to not use it.

Mainly because I have my own link systems and I didn’t want to distract my vistors with other peoples ads. I could have turned the ad feature off but then there wouln’t be a point of me using it. :)

HOWEVER, later I will be using the ad feature on autosurf programs (people wont see them but I will earn credits that people might see) and for things like links to downloads.

You know, things that I’m not trying to get the visitor to take action on.

Secondly, it tracks stats for your cloaked links. Things like clicks, unique clicks and referrals.

When I used the cloaking/URL ad system, the links tracked correctly BUT I think it’s better to use a sytem that will track from the start to the end of the action. It’s nice knowing if people buy/opt-in/etc and from which system.

Third, it’s a downline mailer. Which means you can email people in your downline - 5/7 levels deep every 7/5 days!

I’ve only used this feature once because I havent actively promoted it yet so the downline is small BUT I can say that it works. :)

Fourth, if you are a gold member, you can have an ad placed on the emails sent to the downlines by free members.

I haven’t tracked this feature as it wasnt my main reason to join but I do plan to start - at some point.

And finally, it has an email blaster for gold members that allows you to email 3,000 people every 3 days and you do not have to earn credits!

THIS is the entire reason I joined. (The best price is offered as an OTO.)

Since it’s a blast system (ie people have no reason to open the email for credits) it doesn’t perform as well but after tweaking my subject lines and emails, I get around 20 double opt-ins a week.

20 a week isn’t bad considering it’s a blast system but with a little more tweaking, I will be able to increase that.

Overall, I think Viral URL is a system that you should be using in your marketing strategy.
