The amazing part about this is that it was done, for the most part, with viral marketing and by Ron Paul supporters. See, Ron Paul doesn’t get a lot of media attention and when he does, it normally has a negative spin on it. So about 2 month ago, some of his supporters got together to plan a massive attack to force the media to listen by raising $10 Million in one day and while they didn’t hit their target goal, they did break the record for online fundraising in one day. The supporters of Ron Paul used viral marketing and made videos talking about a “Revolution“. Of course, I said no that the media control it. Well, I have changed my mind. Because of the Internet a relatively unaired Presidential candidate Ron Paul, www.ronpaul2008.com, has been picking up steam. Because of the Internet, the TV series Jericho to be picked backup as a mid-season show. Only brought one show back before once it’s been killed. There are hundreds of more examples. I have always known the Internet has a lot of power to change things for people but really never thought about just how global it can and does change things. It kinda makes me think about what else can be changed because of this thing we call the Internet. It also makes worried about it being used for evil doings and no, I don’t mean spam.
