SpyBot - Hates Marketers

As most of you know SpyBot blocks cookies set by ClickBank and for a while it cost a lot of honest marketers some money. Luckily CB came up w/ an additional tracking method to help offset this issue.

Well, now SpyBot is at it again but this time they are blocking the actual ORDER links. Yup when you click an order button nothing happens. They are also doing this to 47 other sites AND it doesn’t tell the sites from what I could find and didnt even give me the option of turning it off or to not install it - from what I can remember, it was late. By default, it doesn’t even warn you of the issue - it just does nothing. :(

However, there is a solution…

Link your order button to a page that redirects to the order page. It’s smple to do but I can’t show you here because I dont have a “code” pluggin installed. Just Google “PHP redirect”.

Time for me to go redo 200+ order links. :(

IE 7, Phishing Filter & You.

When I finally upgraded to IE 7, I noticed that sites loaded a little slower than before. Not a lot but even 5 seconds gets on my nerves. :) Anyway, I did a little research and found that having the phishing filter turned on was causing the delay. Basically, the browser was checking each page to see if it was a phishing/scam site. So I did the smart thing, I turned it off.

The Internet IS powerful…

A few weeks, maybe a month, someone on a forum asked if we thought the Internet could elect the next President.

Of course, I said no that the media control it.

Well, I have changed my mind.

Because of the Internet a relatively unaired Presidential candidate Ron Paul, www.ronpaul2008.com, has been picking up steam.

Because of the Internet, the TV series Jericho to be picked backup as a mid-season show. Only brought one show back before once it’s been killed.

There are hundreds of more examples.

I have always known the Internet has a lot of power to change things for people but really never thought about just how global it can and does change things.

It kinda makes me think about what else can be changed because of this thing we call the Internet. It also makes worried about it being used for evil doings and no, I don’t mean spam.

Turning Broadcasts into More Profits

When you announce a product to your list and it sells well, add it to your que for future subscribers. Taking a few minutes to do this one thing could lead to hundreds and thousands of extra profits.
